Every time I read an article about marathon training I see something in terms of planning the longest in a marathon. Why is there so much controversy?

Every marathon runner or coach has a theory about the longest training for the marathon. Some argue that by 20 miles wide enough. Others argue that in order to run 30 miles. And some even say that 15 miles is long enough. Which theory is correct?

In my opinion, just the two greatest coaches are ArthurLydiard and Jack Daniels. These two coaches never their runners longer than 22 kilometers. My interpretation of their system of coaching is that this distance is based on the time that a marathon would run during the race. During training marathon distance is 22 miles slower than marathon pace would be the time to run a marathon the actual law.

My theory on marathon training follows a similar pattern. I'm trying to renew my long run for a few minutesthe amount of time I have for my final project. For example, if my goal marathon of screenings, and 3 ½ hours. My longest is 3 hours on my long distance heart rate between 60 and 75% MHR 3 weeks before the marathon.

Two disadvantages of this theory is estimating your finishing time and the operation of more than three hours. To discover which provides end times can be a challenge. There are many ways to enjoy your last day. My personalThe choice is to take my latest half marathon finishing time, and add it to twice and a half hours. On those projects where the final will be longer than 3 hours I was not more than 3 hours.

A proposal for the long period of training for the marathon. If you start approaches three hours at 14 to 21 days between these efforts. Three hours by car to take a lot of you both physically and mentally. Extra time for body and mind needed to movethese efforts difficult.

My theory about long runs during marathon training has helped me in my personal bests in the marathon. I believe this will allow you to achieve your goals marathon.
